Forthcoming Meetings

1st  April    4 Tables

This is an old favourite there will be four different forms of Dowsing being explained and practised, but this time we will not move round as before because it was felt that insufficient time was spent on each item instead you can choose which one you want to study and stay there for the whole evening or move when it suits you, but not more than once

Running the tables will be, Peter Golding - Health & Wellbeing, Glan Jones - Energy Lines, Rob Campbell - Basic Dowsing, Rex Brice - Archeological and Hunting Artifacts

6th May

Barry Goldring - Archeological Dowsing

Barry is from the Slimbridge Dowsing Group and is a specialist in Archeological Dowsing he is very systematic and I watched him at work on a site being excavated by students from Bristol University last year where sadly I was the only SHD Dowser to attend, following his talk he will demonstrate practical dowsing on a site at St Briavels see the following.

Saturday 8th May

Barry Goldring

Practical  Archeological Dowsing

St Briavels - Forest of Dean

Please do come to this, last time we were there the only members who turned up were the old guard, it really re-inforces what we are doing to go out in the field and practice what we learn in theory in the Hall, the landowners are very welcoming and it is a pleasant spot to spent the day and not too far away we meet at St Briavels church at 10.00 am.

3rd June

Daphne Adams

Movements of the Heavenly Bodies and the effect on us.

Daphne Adams is an old friend and a good speaker, and this will be an interesting talk especially if you believe in Astrology, I must admit to being a sceptic but will attend with an open mind.

Outings

Roll Right Stones

We are going to the Roll Right Stones on Saturday April 24th a site now looked after by BSD. Rob Gillmor is in charge of this.

Picnic

We are having a Picnic on Saturday June 12th, Janet Nicholls who will be our hostess will give details at the next meeting including what to bring in the way of food to share, she has an interesting farm house, see what you can find there, all are welcome as this is the one meeting that we let children come to.

Crop Circles

There will be a trip to see Crop Circles on Saturday July 17th organised by our Chairman Isobel Wilmott, details at the next meeting.

Trip to Cumbria

September 14th to 17th

Isobel has worked hard to provide us with an interesting trip in the autumn to Cumbria where there are a mass of interesting sites to visit, we will have two minibuses to travel in and this will be  a worthwhile holiday break and the last one that she organised last year was fantastic.

We started off unfortunately with having to cancel the January meeting due to the weather, I missed the February meeting and no one has told me what happened but I am sure it was interesting.

Last month we had Arthur Marrow talking about Forensic Dowsing, he made some interesting points and it is a subject that I would like to know more about. It was nice to hear that some police forces were not so hidebound as to refuse help f
