NOTE THE DATE!

This is the second thursday NOT the first Ben Stiles will be giving an interesting talk on plant medicines and cures for all ills, her last talk was very well received ans she is a very knowledgeable lady on this subject and well worth listening too, bring a friend..

February 7th  Rob Campbell -  The Mystery, Magic & the Facts about Water
"In February, Rob Campbell entertains us with an illustrated talk on water  Micro to macro; magic, memory and myth.  You name it, water is in there somewhere, and is not to be taken with a pinch of salt. Because of its' importance to life (as we know it) water is the commonest and easiest subject to dowse too.  Get ready to be amazed ! If you have some worries about some water you need to use, bring a sample and we'll see what we can find out about it. "

November AGM  meeting
We had a short talk on Crystal Healing by Collette Stubbs, this is a subject that I have doubts about but I do like the crystals, (and bought several of them), thanks to Sue Jones  and Rob Campbell for the nibbles and the drinks

Summary of the AGM

The Chairman thanked the committee for all their hard work during the year, the Treasurer, Rob Gillmor, had kept a careful control on the finances, secretarial duties and newsletters were sent on time, Rex Brice has looked after the website well, the website has had 1084 hits,Isobel Wilmott has done a splendid job on the programme which is mapped out for the whole of 2008 which is the best forward planning that we have ever had.
Virginia Morgan and Mavis Collins have done a good job running the library, where we have had problems with people keeping books too long, he asked Mavis to thank Diane Collins for her work as catering assistant, and also Fred Bach for auditing the accounts, and John Rawlings for looking after the door.We have had a good turn out at all our monthly meetings in the new hall which has been tastefully refurbished and is now much nicer to use.

The quiet room where people can go for a bit of quiet dowsing has not been a success.

We have not had much input from the group regarding what you want.

There has been a very poor turnout for visits and field trips which take a lot of organising, which is very sad as this is where you will learn how to dowse properly.

Treasurers Report (detailed auditors report circulated)

The loss for the year was £154.80, which was a carry over of refunded money from the previous year, we have £1511.95 in the bank.

The new committee is as detailed on the back of this newsletter, however we still have a notable and embarrassing omission, we still do not have a Chairman, we are as a club a body without a head, and this needs sorting out.

We also need someone local to represent us on the Village Hall Committee, Olwen Waldon who has done so for several years is recovering after a serious operation, there are only a couple of meetings a year but I do feel we should be represented.

We would like to thank those committee members who have left the committee for all the work they have done, Rex Brice, Virginia Morgan, Glan Jones, although we hope he will return when his course is over, and Rob Campbell our now ex-chairman who however has returned as acting (temporary) Training Officer, Rob also hopes to run some one day courses on various subjects, please let him know what your interest is, if there is enough interest in something we may get an outside speaker in to tutor us on their speciality.

We wish all our members and their families a healthy and enjoyable 2008

Christmas Dinner

27 of us sat down to a splendid and very enjoyable Christmas Dinner, the food by Rumbletums was very good, the draw was better organised and even Glans quiz was better this year (that is your editors table did better than last year!)
