Months Dowsing Tip "Not many people
can leap out of their car and start dowsing properly straight away".
It may well be obvious to some but we do need to be 'grounded' with our
surroundings before we can expect to get results. If you were whisked to a
dowsing site on wheels (or in your private jet) you will need to spend a while
relaxing and tuning up on arrival. Some people like to park their car some
distance from the target area so that they can use the walking time to get tuned
in. 'Being tuned in' is a lazy way of saying that you are aware but
comfortable with all that is around...that includes any friends/animals/weather
etc. and any other ambiances that you may be stuck with!
An Interesting Web
Site
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/renaud91/en/someDefinitions.html .Sorry
it is so long. It is most unusual (especially the English). It
describes a heap of
hitherto little heard of precepts and theories. There are
also some interesting links.
Our Website
We DO need your
input....Comments, ideas, suggestions will always be needed to keep it alive and
interesting. Please send any news, views or contributions to Rob Campbell at robcampbell@clara.net.co.uk
A very warm welcome to new
members Charlotte from Garway and Alec from Newent.
WHAT DO
YOU THINK?
This Month's Tale (or
two)
Way
back in 1999 I tried an experiment with the Group which meant
that those taking part had to determine the colour of cards
sealed inside an envelope. Six cards of different
colours were used. To cut a long story short the results
were very disappointing! Two days later, at home, a boating
friend called Horace came in for coffee and the all important
piece of Maureen's cake (or was it two pieces?) Horace
asked what we had been up to at our Group meeting and amongst
other things I described the coloured card experiment.
At first, he wanted to have a go. We began the
experiment, but he rapidly lost interest as soon as the cake
appeared. By now I had to make sure he completed the run
because he had already got three out of three.
With some difficulty we completed the run of six and he
achieved an astonishing score of six out of six, without any
real thought about what he was doing. I was already
nonplussed as you can imagine and tempted providence by asking
him for one more answer.......that too was correct! I have
often pondered over this set of coincidences. The chances are
so great against him getting all correct that I begin to think
that something else is at the back of it.
In 1973, with
my family, I visited my sister in law, who lived at Poughil
Mill near Bude. Also visiting were a young couple from
the States, the girl was English, the daughter of a friend of
my sister in law from Ulster. We appeared to have no
connection....until! Entirely out of the blue we
discovered that one of her aunts lived in the same road in
Liverpool as we did
The hair does actually stand up on
the nape of my neck when this happens.
The
statisticians will try to convince us that this sort of
thing is bound to happen occasionally. This does nothing
to convince me that there is not some greater design which determines the
mystery of extraordinary events like this.
A London bobby changed his telephone number, but gave an incorrect number to a
friend, giving the last three digits as 116 as opposed to the correct 166.
A few days later at night on his rounds he noticed an unsecured door. As
he went in to investigate, the phone rang...and yes, you have guessed it....it
was his friend ringing the wrong number.
While the Allied Forces were planning the Normandy invasion of June 6, 1944, the
following code words were used (and were among the best kept secrets of the
war): Utah and Omaha for the beaches where the landing would take
place; Mulberry, for the artificial harbor which would be put in place
after the landing; Neptune, the overall plan for Naval operations; Overlord
the entire planned invasion itself. On May 3, 1944, the first code word, Utah,
appeared as an answer in the London Daily Telegraph crossword puzzle; on
May 23, Omaha appeared similarly; on May 31 Mulberry appeared; and
on June 2, four days before the invasion, Neptune and Overlord
both appeared. British Intelligence investigated intensively and extensively,
but the man who had created the puzzles was found to be innocent of espionage,
had no knowledge of any invasion plans, and to all intents and purposes had
chosen the words at random.
I have a very strong feeling that co-incidences are a special part of our lives.
After all we live on a planet that just happens to be in an orbit with a very
narrow margin of error for life to occur. Our atmosphere is produced by so
many happy coincidences that scientists have not yet begun to put them all
together to discover how impossible it seems. Survival both at macro and
DNA level is a miracle (my words!) of the coming together of innumerable
ponderables.
Heap big mystery!!!
ps Sadly Horace died of a brain tumor two years ago.
